Anissa of the Ancestors is a Spiritual Teacher, Ancestral and Energy Healer, Metaphysician, and Christian Mystic.

My story:

The emotional chaos in my mind, body, and spirit led me to conflate love with suffering and damaged my sense of self so severely that I dissociated into an entirely different person. In my lack of sense of self and direction I entered the transgender and polyamorous lifestyle, seeing the messages of freedom and community and thinking that this would fulfill me.

I sought out partnerships that in the very dynamics of it were emotionally and physically abusive, thinking this emotional chaos equaled love. I made irreversible surgical modifications to my body thinking that this would bring me freedom.

On the other side, as myself, Anissa, I've decided that my mistakes are for a reason! I've gone through hell so that you don't have to.

The circumstances of my life led me to a spiritual, mental, and emotional mastery that I now can put in service of others. I've found freedom in my creative gifts, prayer, physical practices, and faith, and I'd love to help you do the same.

Interdisciplinary approach:

  • I’m certified in Chakra Clearing Trauma Repair through Onami House. This is a modality based on subconscious imagination and memory. We rectifying imbalances formed throughout childhood in the energy body (Chakra System).

  • I’m a certified practitioner of Heaven on Earth Reiki.

  • I’m RYT-200 Yoga Teacher Certified through the Holistic Yoga School in Fort Collins, CO.

  • In the Dagara Cosmology, through Ancestral Events from my teachers Theresa Sykes Brittany and the late Malidoma Patrice Somé, I’m initiated into the Elements of Water, Fire, and Earth. I’ve elevated my ancestors. And I’ve been initiated into communication with the Kontomblé (nature spirits of love, sweetness, and joy) and Wedamé (nature spirits of the wild ones, the animal world).

  • I’ve served as a Gatekeeper for the Earthlodge Center for Transformation for over 8 years.

  • I’m a metaphysician, holistic health practitioner, and Christian Mystic. These have all been achieved through self study.
